Session 8 of The Yellow Kitty - A Secret Life of Cats Fate Core Game
We leave our two tired and adventure worn cats in the basement of their burden's home. A note was left for the two of them from Sir Scratch-a-lot, thanking them for rescuing him from the clutches of the King in Yellow. Within the letter, he apologized for his leaving without thanking the two in person, as he had to repair the damage done while under the control of the evil king.
Prior to this, the two kitties were pulling the unconscious body of Sir Scratch-a-lot from the tunnels of the rat king Ooog-la-lag. Because Fake Scar is a rather impatient kitty and because of a slight concern for his friend, he decided to attempt in removing the King in Yellow entity from his old friend. Using his naming powers, Fake Scar was able to pull the evil sprit from the body of Sir Scratch-a-lot. However, a complication in the ritual caused the King in Yellow to break the Fake Scar's compel over him.
"With the evil creature disembodied, Night Watcher and Fake Scar were victorious; at least so it seemed."
Freed from the naming power, the King in Yellow lashed out against the two cats and a fray ensued. Each side succeed in hurting the other, but Night Watcher and Fake Scar overcame the King in Yellow in a combined show of force. With the evil creature disembodied, Night Watcher and Fake Scar were victorious; at least so it seemed.
